11TH May 2012

The Celtic Dragons continued their winning streak last night as they finished their final home match in Cardiff with a win over Loughborough Lightning. The team has won every match since finishing in the second tier of the Fiat Netball Superleague and now look forward to a fourth place playoff with Team Bath on Monday 14th May.

The Dragons winning streak takes them to seven wins in a row. If they can make it eight on Monday night they will win themselves a place in finals weekend, taking place on the 19th/20th of May.

Last night’s match was no easy fete, and during the first two quarters neither team was able to stretch away from the other. After half time, the Dragons found their momentum and at one point had a ten point advance on Lightning. The game finished 44-36.

Now the focus is Monday and the fourth place playoff….. COME ON DRAGONS!!
